KRIS EIVERS
Bio: Kris Eivers looks back fondly to his memories of running wild with his six siblings in Portland, Oregon. Growing up, acting was never on the radar for him. He and his family migrated their communal life to Boston in the mid 70’s. Boston was a tough town, and as he went into his adolescence, Kris took on martial arts and boxing as a form to toughen up. Little did he know that boxing would become the longest love affair of his life. So much so, that he has always wanted to write a coffee table book called “Everything I Know About Acting I Learned in the Boxing Ring” as his two passions parallel each other perfectly. While being a shy and quiet kid, Kris auditioned for a play when he was attending UMASS Boston. This experience would change the way Kris viewed his life. Kris auditioned for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in the early 90’s and studied there for a year. Kris then studied privately with his first acting teacher at the AADA, Janice Powell, who became his mentor and the woman who taught him how to act through the Meisner technique. Kris became an actor at 30 years old and booked his first film called The Believer (2001). He then booked his first TV role as a guest star on Law & Order: SVU. Kris also dipped into the theater world with Danny and the Deep-Blue Sea, directed by Suzanne Shepherd and Ann Bowen, who became his second mentor. Kris realized his passion was in TV & Film after this and decided to follow this path. Kris also studied the Michael Chekhov technique with Ragnar Freidank. The combination of this and the Meisner technique created the foundation for Kris approach to acting. Most recently, Kris can be found playing a priest opposite Liam Neeson in the film Absolution (2024), playing a recurring role in Law & Order: Organized Crime, and fulfilling his role as Pat Curran in the Tubi TV-series Crash the System (2022-2024).
