Bio: ​ Avena is an Irish actor who trained at The London School of Dramatic Art and Drama Centre London (BA Acting).  She received the Leverhulme Bursary and was nominated for the Spotlight Prize. Theatre includes ‘1984’ (London and International Tour) ‘The Only White’ (Chelsea Theatre), ‘Who is Theo’ (Teahouse Theatre), ‘Lovesick’ (Hope Theatre). Film and TV includes ‘New Blood’ (BBC), ‘Spoor’ (over 40 international film festivals worldwide) ‘A Flight of Fancy’ and ‘Nightsurf’. Voiceover work includes narration for The National Gallery of Ireland, Harper Collins, WFHowes, Bloomsbury, Penguin Random House, Canongate and Hachette, and commercial work for SSE Airtricity, Bord na Mona, and Fitbit.  She co-wrote and performed the sell out sketch comedy show ‘Fame or Fries’ which toured the London, Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals.
